Yup, Known about these for a long time now.
Punisher is looking like it's going to bomb and early reports aren't great.
Hellboy looks like it's shaping up to be a great movie.

Other comic movies down the line:
Catwoman - out in August. looks absolute ****e
Transformers - very early in production so no feedback yet
Spiderman 2 - out in July. looks amazing
X3 - out in 2005. only starting contract talks with actors but it is going ahead with or without Berry
Batman -Out in 2005. Lead actor has been cast I believe, Cillian Murphy (Intermission, 28 Days Later) is rumoured to be playing the scarecrow as the main villan.
Superman - no director, no superman, no crew but it's coming out 2005/2006 apparantly

Silver Surfer, Hulk 2, Fantastic Four, Wolverine and a few others are waiting for the go ahead from production companies.

....which we don't condone here and will ask you to refrain from suggesting it :P

Try to stay clear of telling people to download warez and illegal copies for the sake of boards - thanks :)

As for the films, I saw a short film lasting a few seconds of a VW beetle (new model) turning into what looked like Bumblebee from the original transformers. Now if the film was done in this way with those kinds of effects I would say that alone would make it an astonishing film. When I saw this little clip (a few years old) I was taken back at how good it was.

    understood, sorry...

on a side note, marvel have started a new company called "marvel games".... guess what they do...
it should be interesting because they already lease out the license for spiderman games and such...

Anyone else see the original Punisher movie with Dorf Lundregen(or something like that). Bravo used to play it the odd time. He used drive a motorbike through sewers and have an underground base. He had yukuza enemies or something. Pretty bad movie. :p

Hellboy hasnt been released in America yet. There has been screenings at conventions, I think it was shown at the Fangoria convention there two weeks ago.Only problem is the fact that Del Torro has shot a PG-13 rated Hellboy.

Christian Bale is signed on as Batman with Michael Caine as Alfred. Cillian Murphy is signed on as Scarecrow. Batman is supposed to take on Raz Ah Guld and his minions. Filming on the scenes started a few weeks back. Its going to rock.:D

Punisher looks crap. John "lard ass" Travolta is signed on as the bad guy.

Catwoman is going to suck so badly. It just looks so, so bad.

Superman has Justin Timberlake up for the role so its going to be crap.

I remember seeig that old Punisher movie, but not what happens in it.... i remember running to toilet after seein the old spiderman movies though.

Marvel are doing a great job though...i mean in 3 years how many comic transfers have there been? and out of all them how many are actually good transfers?

    Spiderman..rocked
    Hulk.... not that great but...
    Xmen...i loved them

    and now the follow ups???
    who can complain?

    Spiderman - nicely done
X-men - think they're good but waiting till 3rd to reserve judgement on the trilogy
Hulk - I actually liked this. I thought they did a very good spin on it and showed a lot of the reason why Banner is mentaly unstable in the comic. His rage is his enemy and his conflicts with his father and the strain he was under was the reason why he kept changing.
Daredevil - OMG how bad was this film?!?!?!?!?!

I'm not saying Hulk was bad, or i didnt like it... it just got to me the way they messed with the story line a bit,

I mean the "mirror" scene rocked, as did the dog fight....(esp how the last dog is gotten rid of...pop)

I rented out Daredevel so i could say it sucked... but it wasnt as bad as i was HOPING, i kinda liked it...even if it was Ben "pain in the ***" affleck and turning Bullseye Irish....

    Abut all the above films
I'd have to say Batman looks the most promising,
Hopefully they'll go down a real dark path on it,
    None of that Hollywooden Sh**e

I hear they are shoting it in England is that correct?

PAtrs of Batman and Batman Returns were shot in England. I think Wayne Manor is in England.

Batman should only be comedic in terms of black humour (ie. Comedy with evil undertone). Batman the original one, was a classic that I love. The first movie I ever bought for my collection tbh.

Batman Returns wasn't nearly as good. They had too much going on in it to keep up with, too many character plots and they lost it in the story as far as i'm concerned. I hate watching it. Funnily enough I don't mind watching the other films afterwards, but I don't consider them decent films.
