Hmm, bit of news on the Fastastic Four movie here, and it seems a hobbit may just be directing it. Read on:

    Here

Not sure what to make of it. Haven't seen the movie short so don't know his style. What I do know is that I don't want Orlando Bloom playing Johnny. Sure he's a good looking dude, and I'm not disputing that he can act, but he can't play a hothead, he's to much of a nice guy actor from what i've seen to pull it off.

As for George Clooney playing Reed Richards. He could prolly do it tbh. Not sure, haven't seen any of his movies in full so I can't really comment.

    Thoughts?

I like Clooney alot and Im sure hell do it fine.

Been awhile since Ive even read the comic or seen any of the old episodes - so Im basing this generally on my hazy memory ;)

Somehow I think from that interview he's just being a bit over hopeful. I think the FF has been messed up before (i've seen the original that was never officially released) and they were going to do it again but pulled it because they wanted to do it right.

At this stage I doubt they'd take any chances. Especially with the success of films like Spiderman and X-Men they'll want to make sure that this blockbuster makes a huge impact at the box office.

As for the cast? Hmmmm...lets see....

George Clooney actually sounds like a probably character. He can play a serious focused part and i'm thinking only he could bring a plausable reason to the character why Sue stays with him. Must be the charm :P. Also the salt n pepper hair helps the fact. Johnny storm....hmmmm. Orlando Bloom wouldn't have been an obvious choice to me but now that I think on it I suppose it could work. He would just have to get some balls and he'd have to be able to shout a lot. Be very crude and brash.

Usually Wizard does a thing where they suggest people for the roles. I think the last time I checked they were spot on. For the Thing I think they mentioned to cast Lawrence Tierney who played Joe in resevoir dogs. Is he still alive?

Where did you see it? Someone told me that it was on disc 2 of the Stan Lee DVD. Anyone know if this is true?

Couldnt say if its true or not, never even knew there was anything ff out apart from the comic and the cartoon, not a great fan of the four,

Still though, all the marvel movies seem to be making a pretty good transfer to the big screen (except hulk...and thats only in the eyes of marvel lovers cause of that stupid story)

Clooney and Bloom huh? Who's cast to play Sue?

And last time i checked Lawrence Tierney was still alive soewhere doing some small movies

Dont suppose it to be that bad, they kind of look alike in the face but not in the
    stretchiness and scientific cleverness.

Also on another matter maybe making a movie on such a FANTASTIC comic might be a bad idea that could have an outcome of ****ing up a great comic altogeter, even though people who love fantastic four will probably stay reading the comic 4ever.Lets just hope the film wont totally comercialise and manufacture the comic.

Anyway look 4ward to seeing the film ,lets hope its not a dissapointment.
