    too simplistic to be honest.

its more useful to have a CV with actual information, all you are looking at there is a template, and as far as templates go, i think it sucks.

there is no need for a signature.
there is no need for the elmo.......cv bit across the top and bottom of page 1
there is no need to have date, position and address list above work experience boxes when you already list these 2 items in each box
dont list your interests, instead, pad it out more. you play soccer? tell them what position, and what team, and what youve won, and the good teeam spirit. youre selling yourself, so sell!
references not really needed. just say references available on request
not really any need for abig long __________________________ after every heading

    what do you think?

I was told that it should be as simple as posible, However in the details of my work experience I go into detail, I felt that you can be a tiny bit over simplistic about that which I didn't want to be.

I want to be different rather then having centre headings.

Elmo ___________ C.V. should appear on the top of page one and two not on the top and bottom of page one.

I like the signature, I have always put it there. Might be a tad big.

**** if I have very many interest most of them are made up. I hate that part of CVs.

I might think about getting rid of the references so, I don't really like them. mmmmm. Good Idea.

I realise you have to fill it up with information. I just have given you a template.

You see what I have tried to do is:-

    1. Make it as neat and tidy as possible
    2. Easy to read, without being over slimplist or too detailed
    3. Trying to be different, design wise.
    4. and trying not to go over 2page which I find difficult with out squashing it or making the text tiny.

Also this CV is sent out with a bull**** cover note, about why I want the job ya da ya da ya da

    EDIT NOTE
    sorry, edited instead of quoted.
put back to orginal, and my reply cut to following post :)

thats fine, but if i cant see what you do with your info, i cant really comment on it.
I want to be different rather then having centre headings.

thats fine. do what you feel looks best for you. just make sure its neat. theres no rule about headings :)
Elmo ___________ C.V. should appear on the top of page one and two not on the top and bottom of page one.

then i suggest you use the title and footnote functions in word. actually having it typed on the page is tacky.
also, you have just shown yourself unable to use a page break.
remember, not everyone uses the same revision of software as you. so you are not always gipng to have your document in the same format as you would prefer.
just be careful. i gave a presentation to Sun about a year ago in powerpoint. they use star office. my slides were all over the place because star office sucks. its just something to remember.
**** if I have very many interest most of them are made up. I hate that part of CVs.

NEVER EVER EVER LIE ON A CV

    EVER

2 things. once you start lying on a cv, and you change your cv about, sometimes you forget whats on there. you can get a shock when someone asks you about something and you think, 'my god, thats from 4 months ago. what was the lie again?'
    you will catch yourself out.
secondly, if you lie on a cv, it will be at the front of your mind. during an interview, you will be thinking about what lies you put on your cv, and you have to make up a whole story around each one. you interview will suffer if you are thinking about the lie, and not concentrating on what you should be talking about.

I like the signature, I have always put it there. Might be a tad big.

again, its your own taste, and if you like it, then keep it.
however, do you usually sign things that are usually sent in an email?
i cant remember the last time i sent a CV by post.
why do you feel you have to sign it anyway? just curious.
personally, i think it looks gay :)

I realise you have to fill it up with information. I just have given you a template.

point is, its just hard to judge a cv without any info in it. and as ive said, as a template, i dont think it looks good. maybe it looks better when its full. i dont know. im not going to spend time typing in it to find out :)

    1. Make it as neat and tidy as possible
    2. Easy to read, without being over slimplist or too detailed
    3. Trying to be different, design wise.
    4. and trying not to go over 2page which I find difficult with out squashing it or making the text tiny.

    easy to read good.
do you feel that being different will get you cv read?
    neat and tidy is good
you can go over two pages. your CV wont explode if you go over the 2 page mark :)
Also this CV is sent out with a bull**** cover note, about why I want the job ya da ya da ya da

i guess if you are mailing your CV then great. never treat a cover note as bullshít. its important. its the first part of you anyone will see. if you treat it as bull, and they see it as bull, you wont get an interview.
if you are emailing your cv, then you mail should be the cover letter. never ever add a word document cover letter as an attachment. its too much hassle to open two documents, when you have 2500 applications to read.

now i know youa re just firing some things back at me. im not telling you anything that you probably dont already know, or cant find out here.
however, you wanted an honest opinion and im giving mine. im also trying to give you reasons why i think you should do some things and not do others. these are things that have worked in the past, for me and other people. people will alwyas get jobs with crap cvs, or with cv's in a style that i dont like, or that i dont think will work. hell, there are 6 billion people on the planet. its going to happen :)
and my opinion isnt always right. its just stuff that i percieve as what the majority of hirers are looking for in cvs.
my critisisms are meant to help, so please dont take offense if i say yours sucks :)
i have also tried to give you advice on what i think you can do to improve.

i would be interested in what your cv looks like with content filled in, so if you want to post it here or send it to me, do so.

OK wwm I will fill up the C.V with some of my info on it but later as I am in the process of changing my C.V.

I have changed the page break, I tend to post C.V.s and I have change the header. thank you.

In relation to interest I have lied but not very much, I don't have good interest to put down, everyone says don't put down something like Reading, Cinema, music. Because you aren't part of a team, I dont like team sport. That Annoys me. Moving on, and relax.
personally, i think it looks gay

So what do you refuse to sign application forms??????? just because it looks gay. Perhaps you have a gay signature, lol. (Could resist that, sorry).

    I like the signature.

like i said, its all about your own opinion. do as you feel fit. im only suggesting things that i think would improve. im not an expert, i just have some knowledge inthe area that im sharing. and its by no means correct :)

with regards interests, put downthe things that interest you.
if you like the cinema, then say it. if you like reading, then say it.

as for signatures on a cv, its not an application form, so there isnt a need to sign your name. but like i said, keep the signature if it blows your skirt up. again, im just giving reasons why i thin you should do something different and what i think you should do instead.

i mean, im sure youd be annoyed at me if i just said, 'its gay' and left it at that.
i am hoping its constructive and makes you think about it. if you think about it and decide im wrong, then cool, at lest youve thought about it, and you know why you have something in there,a nd not something different.
    make sense?

A tip is to put your work experience before any education. Also no need to put details school grades per subject, use the space for more info about work experience and college courses/ courses. Also if any company or course you've done has a website, include that as a link.

    Keep it simple and short.
