Anyone else reminded of Babylon 5/Space Precinct/Farscape/<misc. crappy sc-fi show> with this trailer?
    Noone?
    It's just me?

I loved the first one! A leave-your-brain-at-home movie, but it was good fun.... Must look at trailer in work next week.

the start of a (hopefully) kick ass trilogy
hopefully riddick still will have some bad traits and this won't be another superhero type flick
    can't wait

Yeah Riddick would have been a better bad guy if he hadn't been so busy running around trying to keep everyone alive.....they should have had him killing people at the start of the movie in Pitch Black. No 2 looks to be a really good flick...and if its a trilogy then all the better baby.

Looks terrible. The Adventures of Riddick in Space, Vol I: The Aliens Who Wouldn't Go Away. Who cares? The first film was enjoyable because of the concept. Much as I enjoy Vin Diesel and his funny voice, I think I'll be giving it a miss.

So is this a prequel or a sequel?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,982 ✭✭✭ObeyGiant

As far as I know, it's a sequel. It takes place a few years after the events of the original movie.

Hmmm. I would've preferred a prequel. It looks interesting though with a bit of story added to the action.

Enjoyed the first one, even if Vin Diesel gives Stephen Seagal a run for his money as the world's worst actor. Unfortunately as Radha Mitchell got killed in the first film she won't be in the second. Pity that, I thought she was kinda cute...

I really enjoyed the first film, but I'll more than likely give this one a miss.

All I can see is a cash-in on Vin Diesel's sucsess.
