Dublin Green Bins - Extra Xmas collection?

Hi A couple of people told me that Oxigen did an extra green bin collection just after christmas in the City Council area. Anyone know is this true - seems like a good idea if they did - but if so did they announce it in advance? I, for one, missed it and now have no space in my bin and no collection for another 10 days.:(
