Is there a GBA emulator that suports the running of link cable games over a network. I have link to the past and want to try the four swords game but my friend doesn't have another copy of the game (whats the point when he can get it off me). Any help is appreciated since I don't know that much about GBA emulators.

    none

the gba link cable is an extremely low latency connection, many times lower than the very fastest gigabit ethernet connections. one of the design features of the connection is that the connection is automatically broken when the latency gets too high(probably to disuade companies of making cheaper copies, which to my experience are not as good). there are no networking technologies at the moment to allow linking over different pcs. the only real viable option is to have two or more instances of an emulator running on the same computer using a shared ram buffer as the conection but the author of vba says he will not implement it :(
