players and database size

I'm playing with a small database and some young players like Freddy Adu aren't included in the database. (I'm only just into my second season)

Does anyone know if they will become avaliable when they get older / more establised in the game? Or is the only way to get them through using a bigger database.

Using a bigger database is the only way, I think. Or run the American league in the background.

I use a small database but use DDT files to tell the database what areas to load up within this game . I ve asked the game to retain players from Guatemala so i could sign Fredy William Thompson in the game. He wouldnt join Istres though .. Using these DDT files enables you to manage different countries at international level too
I have the options of Maylasia , Guatemala , Costa Rica , Georgia and Paraguay in my game at the moment along with the bigger European and South American Teams

Creating a DDT File

*You must start a New game to activate these DDT Files *

DDT Files can be created using Notepad or Wordpad
You must however use the All Files Option and not Text Documents when saving or else the file will have a double extension .ddt.txt and will not be used by CM0304
It must be saved with a .DDT Extension

These DDT files must be saved in the DB folder in CM0304
Eg - C:\Program Files\Eidos\CM0304\Data\DB

To Retain Nations and Clubs for your Game -
There are two ways of retaining players - either by nation or by club .

"RETAIN_PLAYERS" "Al Ahli (KSA)"

To enable your DDT file when finished - go to the CM Preferences on Toolbar and scroll down to the bottom and the file should appear there. Just select it and start your game.

I prefer using it by club as any foreign players at those clubs will be kept also.

If anyone wants the club names from these countries for their DDT files , just request them and i ll post them up . I have club lists for most of the countries i listed earlier.

Here is an example - This makes Costa Rica Available for International Management
