I've developed ichy rashes on my stomach and hips. I think it may be from using a different washing powder. (Persil non-bio I think). Does anyone here get rashes from washing powers or anything? It's probably stress otherwise.
Also had an itchy rash on the back of my knee for months.
Please don't tell me to go to the doctor; this is hardly a serious enough problem to deem dangerous to discuss.

    ask your pharmacist...

If you ever get a rash it's normally the first thing they will ask you.

anti-histamine tabs if the itching is bad.
    Calomine lotion should help.
Emulave body wash is good to use instead of normal body washes it's much kinder to the skin when you have a rash.

try non-bio stuff, still works for me. another go on the rinse cycle also an idea.

used to have the same prob, not bad tho, got small rashes on collar and waist line ie where chemicals in clothes rub onto skin. didn't notice have knee probs myself but it would be a suspect area. had forgotten about it until now.

People can develop allergies to just about anything. Itchy rashes are very common but not to be ignored.

They can be caused by your soap powder and an extra rinse could help. Even your soap can cause the same. As can foods, medication and about a thousand or more other substances.

Even though you say 'No Doctor'. A GP can refer you to a qualified professional allergy specialist, as discovering what is causing the irritating itchy rash can be very difficult.

However, using the mildest soap & detergent you can find usually helps a lot.

If you believe it is stress related . Then I am afraid imho its a GP for you.

A girl I went out with for a bit had the same problem, she had very sensitive skin.

Instead of the usual detergents have a look for washing powder especially for baby clothes, they're milder and less harsh if you have sensitive skin (like a baby).

I am suffering from a rash, all over my body which keepts me awake at night, after I started adding a scoop of Vanish to my usual washing powder which is a well-known dermatological brand. I have stopped this and the rash is subsiding with treatment.

I had the same problem years ago looked like I fell into a bunch of nettles. Eurax cream is fantastic for itching and anti histamenne tablets. Just change your washing powder and rewash clothes you've washed in the powder which caused the reaction.
