For the good of this board or simply because I am bored - I have decided to test your knowledge of poker. Below I will list some terminology and you can post back with the meanings. Some are very easy or hard enough for the beginner and some will be answered only by the hardened gambler.

Please post using spoilers so that everyone can play at their own leisure - I'll answer any that are too hard for your soft little brains.

1. Hole cards: as opposed to marked cards which might have little bits torn off etc.

4. beer hand: the hand you use to drink beer, and usually to put down your cards with in poker

6. backdoor flush: going red in face as you realise something has accidentally exited your "back door". May confuse opponents who are trying to read your facial expression.

1. Hole Cards = Two cards in the pocket
2. Flop = Three commumity cards on the board
3. Set = Full House
4. Beer Hand = 7, 2, you'll be drinking bears in the bar if you keep playing these
5. Gutshot Straight = This is an inside straight, hitting a card in the middle of the st8.
6. Backdoor Flush = Hitting a flush with the turn and river cards.
7. Under the Gun = 1st player to Bet, usually used if you bet in the postition imediately to the lest of the big blind.
8. Big Slick = A, K
9. Kojack = K,J
10. Bicycle = 5 high straight, also called the wheel
11. Nuts = Best possible hand you can make from the existing cards
12. American Airlines = A,A
13. Aces Up = Two pair that incluse Aces
14. Cowboys = K,K
15. Sandbagging = "Slow playing", betting small when you have a monster.
16. Rainbow = All different suits on the first four board cards

Ah I see, I always thought

full house was a set seems it's 3 of a kind

, had to look that up so i suppose I'm disqualified. Still 15/16 ain't bad.
