    Lads

Have a great problem to add to my joy at been back at work.

Got a call from a debt collector in relation to a sky account my name was on about a year ago, lived in a town and we got sky in between three of us in the house.
My name was on the account, moved out at the beginning of 03 and the lads in the house changed the DD to their bank account. The lads moved out in July and gave me the box, it has not been in service since.
They rang SKY and they asked for a password on the account, the lads had lost the password and I did not know what it was. So he said that if they cancelled the DD that this would stop the subscription and that the account would be stopped.

Alas not, so today I got a call from these guys looking for money!! ridiculous!!

so any advice, can sky not see that they box has not been used or the card in the box is not be used??

What a great start to the year!!!!

There's no way that they can do this and know for sure. Hopefully Man's PM to you will help.

    Thanks lads for the advice.
The update is that I phonesd sky and they debt is 130 euro, so the debt collectors are adding 330 euro for their service!!!
They were like talkin to the wall, I think at the end of the day I sould have followed up!! lesson learned

Well hit me with a feather!!!

Got an email from one of the heads in Customer Service!!

She apologised about the poor service I had received and that it was very poorly handled.
To add to it she credited 60 Euro to my account.

Well we hear enough bad stories about them so I said was was only fair to add this to the update ;)

    Some good news, nice one.

Do you still have to pay the remaining 400(?) to the debt collection agency?
