i seen sum ppl at the start of the year in the college givin out flyers, wasnt sure if it was the edge or not. i'd go there if it was open to old ppl, jsut for variation.. im sick of that other kip.

Its never open on thursdays anymore afaik. I do remember the crowd going around at the start of the year giving out "permanent concessions" for every thursday night, which you clearly can't use due to the place being closed

As for the Edge, never been there. Too far away from Scragg's, or Buzz's, or the Dinn Ri. Usual pub night would be Dinn Ri/Buzz's/Scraggs, and then into the Foundry. That or a few cans in the house, and then into the Foundry

Also, no-one I new actually admitted been there, so that say's something!:D

The edge was never that good anyway, all that hard house, trance, super dooper dance music only attracted druggies and boy-racers!!!

They had some great bands too 2 years ago, as well as all that hard house, trance, super dooper dance music that only attracts druggies and boy-racers, but they just kind of ran out of entertaining nights at some point, its a shame really

the edge is fairly popular on a friday and saturday with carlowers. the music in there is ok but it is a bit rough

But come on it has a laser for christ sake!! That has to count for something right?

Imo it would be a far superior place if all us students went there. a) Better lighting, b) Not insanely loud, c) Decent security staff ie not just fat bastids that take a week to spot and act on trouble. Get some decent music in there and somebody to torch the foundry (it'd be for the greater good) and we'd have ourselves a half decent night spot. Well maybe.

it's a nice looking place too, and it's got a relaxed enough atmosphere. specially the upstairs cocktail bar.. nice and cosy. downstairs, you have a few different bar areas, each with a different style and 'decor'

the music is.. well, i haven't heard it in recent times but I'm going to go ahead and guess ****e but that's no surprise, good nightclubs are few and far between.

Yup. As you walk down the right past the dancefloor there's a stairs on your right. You go up there and it's on your left. There's also a balcony á la the Tower for lookin down on the proceedings. Originally it was supposed to be a three level place with a heap of bars but that prick that owns the Foundry fought it tooth and nail and won. Bastid.

I know a good few people who still go there but it's only 'cause they completely fed up of the foundry. Has anyone been to the cosmo brown nite club? anyone i know of said that it was really small and way too hot. wonder if they ever heard of ventilation! :dunno:

yeah just the bottom bar, i think??? really packed and dj was pretty good!
