okay...i can't access the after hours forum?

i've never been banned before so i don't really know how it works...how do i find out how long i'm banned for/what i did to get banned?

i have a vague idea what thread it was i posted on that got me banned but without being able to see my post i'm not going to bother trying to argue the rights/wrongs of me being banned...

but seriously, do i not get an e-mail/pm to notify me of any of the details of this ban?

This is the wrong forum to ask in but...
I can't see that you've been banned from after hours. However, two or three threads you were posting in have been locked...could this be the problem?
If you log out you can browse after hours and see what's what.

You were banned for taking the pi*s out of Ronaldo7 on the child porn thread. Quite mild what you said, but you're not alone. 3 others got the boot as well.

i managed to log out and view the thread and realised what i was banned for...
okay, i can maybe understand a warning for that but banning was a little much, no?

i posted on the first page before the others got serious...the guy hadn't even responded and i had no way of knowing he was going to take it all so seriously! i was laughing at first because the guys post was just plain stupid!

and i really am sorry for my second post. i really didn't know it was going to go that far and go on for three pages! i was kinda going along with the crowd and mocking the whole tabloid "hang all child porn users/people who have ever heard of it" mentality. i'm sorry, if i'd been told at any point to stop i would have. I apologise sincerely for taking the piss...do i need to explain all this to one of the after hours mods and appeal to be unbanned or do i have to stay banned for a while?

again, sorry, i didn't know it was going to go that far or be taken so seriously

Tbh passive your being banned seemed a little overzealous to me. I think you were unfortunate to have been lumped in with a Utility ban when he was overdoing it as he is wont to.

On a related point, my own personal opinion is that that whole thread is a troll, but that is a matter that can be discussed separately.

Probably feedback, Maybe admin. It always amuses me when people troll others and then wonder why they where banned, and ask why wasn't i warned. That said you where mild compared to others, those others having also been banned.

and skanger, seriously, i didn't think the thread was serious...it was not my intention to troll him but yes...retrospectively it looks like i did doesn't it. my mistake and it won't happen again

also, etho...i've been given a mysterious and indefinate ban, letting the mods know i'm sorry can't be too bad for me, right?

Well yourman didn't expect to get the abuse he did when he started that thread. The admins have to be fair, your weren't the worst, but sometimes thats not how life works.

I can assure you...that thread was completely serious. I mean, im 19 years old. All i hear is how so many paedophiles are being locked up and i fully agree with it. But then it all popped up on my computer when i was looking at a normal porn site like most guys my age do, i clicked on a picture which i thought was like a little gallery and it all popped up continuously. I am no criminal. This was deadly serious. These windows advertising porn popped up on my computer and i noticed a couple of them were advertising pre teen pornography. It scared the crap out of me and ABSOLUTELY shocked me. I posted in after hours to find out what i should do instantly after it all happened because its not something i can ask my dad about cos he would kill me for looking at porn in the first place. The people who got banned deserved it. they really were making a massive joke out of a serious issue and thats plain wrong.
