    Hi All,
Wondering if anyone can help. Basically I have a USB printer that's connected to my PC at home. Now I've also got a laptop, which I want to use with the printer also. Basically I want to be able to use the printer with either the PC or the laptop with minimum hassle (unplugging of cables etc.) I was just wondering if anyone has any suggestions on the best way to do this. Are there any USB connectors available that will allow two connections to the 1 printer or something similar? (I don't really want to buy a printer hub or anything very expensive)

    Cheers,

    DC.

I'd recommend networking the two PCs. You can then share the printer, as well as other resources such as hard drives and net connections. You will need a network card for each machine.

I agree that networking is probably the besst option ( and also brings may more advantages with it) but if you wanted to avoid the hassle of buying two NIC's and opening up your machines etc then you could get a USB networking cable that requires no extra cards - its worth looking into,: not sure where you will get them - try the big electronics stores - petes, maplin etc.
