    its probably Mad World youre talking about

    Gary Jules did the cover with Micheal Andrews i think with the piano
    and i think Jules did a guitar only version aswell....

    Yeah it's a cover of Mad World.
    Head Over Heels is another Tears for Fears song used in Donnie Darko. I don't think it's been re-released though.
