What is the "best" support Atari emulator out there? ie, the WinUAE of the atari world? I have so far tried Steem and I find it very good. It loads everything... the sound is not great compared to the Amiga. Is Saint or any of the other better in any way? Interface, compatibility or features? I'm using Windows XP Pro.

Btw, it's that old game Damocles that has got into it... ;)

Well... to answer my own question. I went and tried Saint and found it to be much better than Steem and would recommend it over any of the others. It tends to prefer the Tos rom v1.0 but I have used v1.x or 2.0.x for specific games (ie Dungeon Master) and these work fine.

Saint also recreates those authentic disk clicks while the games load. Neat! :) The overall interface is much cleaner and the program is still being updated. The latest is 1.60 and was released 20-12-03. Not bad! Allows you to record to .avi (whatever codec you have).

Also came across a "sc68 player" for all those Atari tunes....

    Thanks for posting your finds.

No problem! I went a little emulation crazy over the last two weeks. An attempt to rekindle/revisit old Christmas memories. It's nearly 11 years since I switched my old Amiga on. Sniff... :)
