Defo one of the best comedies on tv at the mo..............

Looks like they've managed to harness the power of sarcasm and cynicism.

    Hooray for them!

Scrubs....It's like ER meets Ally McBeel.
You've got the hospital, and the "Oh no, is this real? I keep seeing loads of wacky things!! Craaaaazy!".

'Cept JD never confuses his fantasies/dreams with reality, which is one way it's unlike Ally McBeal. Another way it's unlike Ally McBeal is that Scrubs is actually very funny.

True. I do think it's good, but It'd be fun to not like it, so I could describe it like that....;)

I have seen most of Series 3 and it is as funny as ever.

There is also some nice eye candy with Tara Reid appearing as JD's girlfriend.

    Scrubs started really good
but IMHO i think scrubs is going downhill
its gettin a bit too serious for my liking
at first it was all jokes and laughs and whatnot
but now its just becoming another american sitcom.....

hmm didn't it used to be on at 10?, is 7.30 a good slot i wouldn't have thought so on irish television with all the soaps?

Yes but this is Ireland. It's a british Channel. And sure no one in Ireland Watches Coronation Street or British TV, Now Do they, honestly. (Sarcastic)

Dontcha just hate when you have to explain sarcasm...........just in case.

What kind of life is it...to live in fear of the vengeful posters of boards!!! ;)

does that mean they were good?

the one just finished on Net 2 was funny, and wasnt of lower quality than any of the other episodes (also that slutty looking picture of elliot that was posted here months ago now makes more sense).

Lets hope they can keep such a great show going for as long as possible, without dragging it out..... thats easy to do, naturally.

Bring on Scrubs: The Movie.... not really, please, no.

I think it's the opposite. It's continually getting better. I saw a season 1 episode a while back and i couldn't believe the difference. If anything it was more serious, there were less jokes and the jokes that were there fell flat far more often.

i enjoyed the episode tonight anyway quite funny and damn elliot looked good

id have to agree with eth0 more, I mean, every episode has its moral side, but it has certainly improved since it started (thats not to say that series 1 was bad, it wasnt at all, but series 2 was better).

I think that the serious parts of scrubs make it a better show, it ads a touch of realism to such a surreal style of comedy. And alot of the emotional stories in the show benefited from the comedy too, if you find a characther really funny, you make a connection with them, that way the sadder parts hit you harder.

Having all comedy in a hospital setting would be stupid, unrealistic and would take alot of the shows edge from it.

\o/ fantastic. best line "i hear your sisters drinkin again!" ha ha classic cringeworthy. piles of great lines, but dr cox is getting on myt nerves with his annoying speech's, anyone else growing tired of his ramblings. apart from that excellent, but i hope there are more of jd's fantasies in future they were one of my favourite parts of series two. still though 5 stars :D:D

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,560 ✭✭✭Woden

i have to say i do enjoy cox's rants and then the inevitable new girls name that he will use quality :)
