so you just took one in the belly, you got 60 mins to bleed out, you have a specially prepared mixtape for just this situation, you fire up the soundbox and stick in the tape, you are dying and these tunes will be the last you will ever hear, not really the same as your favourite tracks, something to put u at ease as u die, so, whats on the tape ?

I think I'd play something happy and ironic, like "Little Green Bag" from the Resevoir Dogs soundtrack - something you could dance to. I definitely would avoid "Seasons In The Sun".

I reckon I'd probably finish with Nada Surf's "Icebox":

    "Bury me in sorrow,
    cover me in joy..."

"Its over now" - Paddy Casey
"Its the end of the world...." - REM
"Lay me down" - The Frames

Mad World would be a nice choice too (as long as they don't show the video - Gary Jules looks like a knob in the video)

    - Dave.

timeless by goldie..... the 22 mintue version that has inner city life in the middle of it. its the most beautiful lush emotional piece of music thats been created in the last decade at least, and it's one of the most innovative pieces of music ever in its engineering, and yet i says an awful lot about the world it comes from... goldie was a graffitte head back in the eighties and the whole tune all 22 minutes just sounds like it was spraypainted on the wall. i could die a happy man after hearing that.

Firstly... i dont get Nightmares.. i have only had a handfull of kinda spooky or scary dreams in my 26 years on this earth...

    BUT..

when i was about 11 or 12.. i had a dream that still to this day scares the sh1t out of me.. i had a dream that i had brought my little brother with me and my friends to come swimming with us off the rocks in Howth Co.Dublin, the soundtrack in the background was "Brothers in Arms" by Dire Straights... it was playing Really loud to the point of being a bit distorted, anyway in that dream my little brother fell from one of the cliff's we were walking accross and he died.. it was the scariest thing i ever witnessed and still to this day if i hear that song or walk along the area i drempt about in howth i still feel strange, as if it did really happen...

that was the only dream that ever scared me untill about 9 months ago...

i woke up in a pool of sweat after this one....
Myself and my girlfriend were driving one evening, it was getting darker by the minute and as soon as it was night it started getting bright again... it was wiered there was only a few minutes of darkness and then it was getting like dawn... in this dream the soundtrack was "the end" by the doors, again played very loud to the point of distortion.. the daylight got so bright as i was driving up a bit of a steep climb that it blinded me and i missed a corner, the car went through a barrier and over a cliff.. we both looked at each other and held hands as we could see people fishing off the rock below and boats in the water,.. i said to her "babe.. were going to die, i want you to know that i love you and will always love you.. forever".. the car continued to fall towards the rocks... and that was it.. i woke up with such a fright that i wasent able to move or talk for about 30 sec's to a minute.. it scared me so much that i will never sit in a car if that song is on the radio or CD..

What is it with Loud distorted music and cliffs??

    later

Cliffs don't really have the best acoustics so the sound engineers usually have to turn it up to 11 :)
