Here is the deal. I just found out that work haven't bothered actually doing my medical insurance for a number of years.

They are telling me to fill it out and they will start it up as soon as possible, but I am still pretty pissed that something that is in my contract was dealth with. When I mention so what about the other years they just say "Well at least you didn't get sick in that time".

I pay a small part and they pay a large part. Because I wasn't signed up they are saying I didn't loose any money so its not something to worry about, but I am still pissed off all the same.

I am just at a loss what to actually do.

Demand payment equivalent to what it was worth, if nothing else for putting you in the worry osition you are in now. It would appear if they were deducting money and not paying it to the insurer, it would be an illegal deduction.

Bill them for any medical expenses you have incurred and will incur in the start-up period (most medical insurers will insist that you are a member for a certain amount of time before cover kicks in - accident cover aside).

Check that they have been passing on your tax & PRSI to the Revenue Commissioners and pension deductions, etc.
