    Hey,

just been pointed out that my exchange has been upgraded. (woot)

At the minute I have a bog standard 56k and I am with UTVIP XL. €25 per month + €18.59 line rental last I checked.

If I chose to switch over to the clicksilver broadband (and had a good enough line) package €47.50, is the line rental charge part of the €47.50? or would it be 47.50 + 18.59 = €66.09 per month?

I didn't think it would have been but it was suggested to me by a friend that it was, then it might be, so I honestly don't know.

At the min I could only get it, if it was included, running low on spare funds.

    Thanks,
    Gid.

its excluded, line rental is extra.

My advice, if its not really urgent, wait a bit longer. The new 3.5ghz wireless connections are coming out soon, and they don;'t require a line of sight, and should be more reliable and better than current offerings.

Also, i hear on the news that broadband wholesale price is going to be "slashed" in the near future, so (Hopefully) all retail prices will plumet down a bit.

probably true... but there are a few companies popping up around the area, and existing ones are expanding rapidly. It might not be too long, where abouts are you based?

There was a thread here a couple of weeks ago about a new wireless setup in the Midlands, still being tested - I don't remember the URL.

And there's a crowd called Amocom in Cork - http://www.amocom.com/
