After a successful tenth anniversary in 2003, T in the Park returns to Balado in 2004 on 10th and 11th July.

David Bowie is confirmed as one of the headliners (on Saturday, he says). The Darkness and Muse are also confirmed.

    Earlybird Tickets £88 (inc camping)

ahh good ole T in the Park :)

not been since 2000 i think it was (maybe 2001, memory is shabby), although went upto balado for 3 years on the trot, fantastic place and atmosphere :)

but since im still in dublin i guess i'll have to probably settle for witnness again, my main aim is to get to glasto this year!! always missed out on tickets in previous years and NO way am i missing out this year :)

I've never had any desire to go to witnness!
T in the Park is only £85 inc camping, you should go. And go to glasto too, push the boat out

who said i have a desire? just seems to end up happening somehow!

after looking at the lineup for witnness on the other thread though ill maybe make sure that dosent happen this year again

Glasto is my main aim yes! T in the park ive been to many times, if my mates head up again this year back home then i'll probably take a pop over for the long weekend. Although even they havent been up in a couple of years so who knows.

you been to t in the park before etho yeh?

That's prob why u never had the desire to go to Witnness. Sure and it doesn't matter if the bands are good or not, as long as there's plenty of mates there with ya and plenty of booze. The first year I went [a couple of years ago now] I saw Muse and the Frames and Prodigy and I think a load of other bands I liked. Even when the lineup's ****, like it was this year, it's the best craic u can have. Although I've never been to T in the park or Glastonbury and I can't wait to try them all.

I've never managed to see more than 5, maybe 6 bands at Witnness. They aren't what makes it fun. They're just the icing on the cake.

depends whether you actually go for the music or if your just looking for a better atmosphere for you and your mates to get hammered....

I love both, but if there is no one i want to see there atall then i doubt i would go.

Don't get me wrong the festival atmosphere just cannot be beaten but i still love music with a passion and that is still one of the main reasons i goto festivals, when i was younger i used to just goto get hammered with mates regardless of bands like you say though but found the real buzz at them just isnt there if there is not one band who takes your intrest

I agree with most of that. I tend to set aside one day for drinking, and one for relaxing. The bands I see, are always planned in advance. I try not to waste time seeing acts I've already seen. And I tend not to drink that much, I don't like being drunk when at gigs (at all, not just at festivals).
