    I just got a siemens cordless digital phone for my land line. I can be used for sms. I am with UTV for calls.

    A few questions:

    1. Do UTV handle SMS for fixed lines or is this still the perserve of eircom?
    2. By using SMS would this cause your calls to revert to eircom?
    3. How much are the charges for the service?

    when you send an sms it will appear on your eircom bill, you will stil be charged by utv for calls tho.
    im not too sure how much the sms costs, check on the eircom website for details
