SKY+ Problem

    My SKY+ box turned itself off last night a couple of times. It need a full power down (remove plug) and a couple of presses of the remote before it reset itself. Has anyone else had this problem ?

    Nope, no problems here.

    Did this happen in the middle of the night, or late at night? If so your box could have been upgrading it's software to the latest version (the one with dual record).

    When mine got updated I couldn't switch it on for about 2 minutes.

    Happened at 4.30pm and 11pm. The software was updated last week. Unless something similar was going on.

    Mine has been very unstable since thr Dual Record update.
    I've had to reboot at least once every 2 days.
    Recordings have dissapeared and the box has frozen a lot.
    It was fine before Dual Record.

    I had SKY + installed about a fortnight ago. I was told to wait for about a week for the Dual Record function to kick in - no sign of anything happening yet.

    Should I force a software upgrade? If so, how?

    Looks like the dual record is causing quite a few problems for V2 boxes. V1 is fine so far (me touches wood). They may have stopped issueing the load until the bugs have been ironed out.

    Mine is a V2.
    They havent stopped issuing the load as far as i know.
    They are just charging people who havent got it a fee to swap thir boxes for ones that can receive the DR download.
    They seem to be saying that its you fault etc.
    Kind of unfair if you ask me.
