    I picked up one of these this evening it comes with the usual prepared slides and a PSU for the light.

    Lenses - 4X 10X 40X
    Eyepieces 10X , 16X
    Pity the slide holder don't move to and fro.. might be able to adapt it

    BTW it's got a USB camera.. only 320x240

    Its mostly metal rather than plastic.
    Main tube is 23.2mm to take the camera
    And an adaptor to take the 20mm dia lenses.

    it seems to be of reasonable quality but it needs to have an adjustable slide holder.its imperative

    Totally agree (pity the camera needs so much light)

    But could unscrew the clips and put a mover on the plate - if you could only figure out where to get / how to get one .... - do they have standard dimensions

    Something with stepper motors would be neat if you could drive from the PC.

    the camera is excellent though.very good for labs in schools etc
