How can I delete stuff

    I dont know a lot about computers so any help would be appreciated, can I delete stuff from computer eg when I start typing in a web site then the window comes down with all other sites that have been typed in starting with that letter(sorry if I am not making myself clear) my computer is not new and I would prefer not to have all this old stuff from previous user thanks Cathy

    IF you are using Microsoft's Internet Explorer.
    To delete Autocomplete entries from the Address bar list

    The AutoComplete feature saves previous entries you've made for Web addresses, forms, and passwords. To delete entries from the Address bar, you must clear your History folder. You cannot clear individual entries from the list of saved entries.

    On the Tools menu in Internet Explorer, click Internet Options. Click the General tab. Under History, click Clear History.

    thanks Victor that worked but when I reply to a post on a b/b i get all the previous users titles eg when I tried to post this message I got a list of everything used starting with the letter H

    GoTo Tools>Intenet Options>Concent>AutoComplete

    And uncheck everything there

    I'm not sure where you are getting this.

    Do you know how to do "print screen"*? Press print screen when you are getting this prompt. When replying, attach the file at the bottom of the post (where it says Attach file: Maximum size: 102400 bytes, you can use the “Browse” button to find the file)

    *Press the "print screen" button (usually top right of keyboard), go to Start, Run, type "mspaint" (without the quotes) and paste ("Ctrl" button and "V" button at the same time) into the window. Press the dotted box button (Select) and drag your mouse around the area of the prompt and copy ("Ctrl" button and "C" button at the same time). Go to File, New, no need to save the current file and paste ("Ctrl" button and "V" button at the same time) into the window. Go to File, Save as and save the file as say "prompt-error". In the "save as type" window select "*.gif" or "*.jpg" is available. If not select monochrome bitmap (these file types are usually the smallest).

    thanks Victor only problem is I would need to do a Fas course to figure all that out but thanks anyway
