Pai Gow is ok and I have played it a couple of times in Vegas but I have a mental block with card games that you play against the dealer rather than the other players. That's why I prefer Hold'em as a more social and skillful game. After all you can't bluff in Pai Gow

    1. Follow the Queen.
7-stud with the card following the Queen wild. No Queens out, then Queens are wild. Normallly pay for the wild card too.

    2. High Heart.
Dealt four cards. Place 2 up, 2 down. Dealt 2 more up and one down. Highest heart down takes half the pot and best poker hand takes other half. But a house or better takes full pot.

    3. Sweat
5 or 7 cards down. Dealer turns one card up to be beaten by 1st player. First player turns one card up at a time until he has beaten card turned by dealer. betting then. Next players turns, betting then. etc. Best poker hand wins.

thegills you probably knew me as Vlad if you played those games in Kevin Street in 1990/91.
I remember High Heart very fondly. We used to play rounds of it where you would only half the pot on the final round, otherwise you had to have the house or better. Massive pots for piss poor students. Oh and don't forget "Drop Guts".
