New Sky+ box manufactures

I remember reading some months ago that sky had allowed two other manufactures to make the sky+ box along with pace.

Does anyone know is this still the case?

If so, who are the manufactures?

What are the release dates for the new box's?

Will the spec any different? Maybe bigger HD?

There are three manufactures of standard Digi box's and although the spec are "supposed" to be the same I believe it is agreed by most that the Panasonic box is the best. It seems to be the quickest to switch EGP listings when browsing.

The only other manufacturer known with a deal to produce Sky+ boxes is Amstrad! :o

They were hoping to have their Sky+ box released at the end of 2003 though it seems unlikely that it will happen now. I would definitely choose Pace over Amstrad, despite my dislike for both! I'd like to see a Panasonic Sky+ box!

Oh yea (OT), and the new Panny DSB50 digibox looks good! :)
