best games to play on this home network

    I am networking my new 2.2GHz Celeron 256(?)RAM PC running XP with my old P2 350 64MB RAM PC running Windows 98. A lot of games don;t work on both models: Quake 1 and Half Life don't run properly under XP and the old PC won;t run newer games. What games are there that are good for multiplayer that will run ok on both specs?

    hl and q1 should work with xp, they do for me anyway, what error do you get when you try to run them

    Hearts. Or probably some 2d RTS stuff like C&C, AOE etc.

    there's an update from serria's website 1110.exe update for Half life that makes it ok to play under XP, i had the exact same problem with my Half life but the patch sorted it

    as for games! well you could always try

    Unreal Tournment
    Half life
    Diablo 1 and 2
    Quake 1 and 2
    GTA (the original game) runs networked play

    that should do it

    PS try posting this in the games board (or ask monty to move this to games) you might get better suggestions there
