What exactly are you lookin for for your band?? Im' a singer songwriter and play the guitar. What type of music are you planning on playing and do you have any gear to gig with like amps and stuff????

ehh everything really it could be jewel david gray bob dylan one day deftones the next the idea is to base the band on a kind of acoustic rock band not cold play or travis but along the lines the main objective is that it is original.

i have a drummer, and me im lookind for a singer songwriter guiartist type cause altough ive written some good stuff alot of pants has been written as well so i need some else to back me up and then i can back then up.

but as you asked influences are varried at the moment im listening to a lot of josh ritter and bellx1 and the frames.

Sounds good to me except not so sue bout the deftones. I'm into all types of rock music too mainly stuff like Matchbox twenty. I have written a few songs like yourself some good some bad. Do you sing as well?? I think it would be cool to have two singers in a band to divide the work.

yeah my taste is varied, i dont see it as dividing the work but more as working together at least this way no one can get there head stuck up there own arse. Yeah match box 20 are cool alright thats what i want a diversity not to big that no one can stand each other but enough so the music original and hopefully fresh as for equipment i dont have major equipment like p.a's but i can get them i know alot of muscians maybe its there turn they threw mw a favour...... ponders..... yes maybe it is.


any way back to your questions yeah i sing but if some one interested has a better voice than me ill step back and let them do it. I think the whole point to be stress is that its a band im looking for not backing group.

hello there, i'm a guitarist and am quite curious,, i'm more into rock but i love a good old acoustic song with nice chord progressions, i'd have to say my strong point would probably on an acoustic,, but i'm fairly good on the electric also;)

anyway,, i'm on the south side, but if u plan on rehearsin in town then i'm up for it,,

Yeah your right there the singer usually has a tendancy to think they run the band and I dont like that. As for being original I dont think there are many bands out there with two singers so maybe that would be a good thing to look into. I find it alot easier to write songs for myself to sing instead of somebody else your probably the same. I know alot of musicians too and one guy i know has his own recording studio to jam in and record so thats cool. What age are you??

this is deadly okay well here we go like so heres the big moment im 20, so is in and around the same age as you guys and like i said at the start of this topic i am in the north finagl area or for any one else the bog arse of now where in comparison to dublin city so where are you all based can we give this ago, no i dont have anything posted on the web, i dont know about rehearsing ne where but i am very very happy with this response and dont want to loose it

so all suggestions please, does anyone mind 3 guitarists will anyone play base is this the start of a good begining

Yo. Well i play guitar. However there is somethings i want to point out

1. I only play acoustic (however i am getting an electric soon and i dont think its going to be a problem to adjust)

2.ive been playing for just under a year, so im o.k.....not terribly bad but im not fantastic. i like trying to make up my own picking and strumming in diffirent tunings ect, i love experimenting.

3. im not a.....yeh metallica metallica metallica type of player and just learn all metallica or whatever bands solos ect. In fact i dont really play solos yet/ prob cos i dont have an electric.

4.Pearl Jam are one of my all time fav bands. But i have a HUGE musical taste.

right with that out of the way if anyone is interested in just trying to make some music, dosent have to be all serious. mess around, maybe if it works could get more serious. teach each other ect.Gimme a shout. dont matter what instrument you play!
