did a bit of a search and no sign so....

i would just like to share with all you lovely people my appreciation and love for the Carlsberg ads. You know the "if Carlsberg made…" nightlclubs, housemates.
Anyone else think these ads are great????
and have there been any others? can't remember off hand...

There was "dreams" as well about Jason Macateer and the World Cup.

Great ads, although i think the format is getting a little tired at this stage.

Not the best ads this year tho, that title officially goes to the Heinken Green Energy ads which won most of the awards at last weeks ICADs

Yeah the Carlsberg ads were generally great. Especially the "Carsberg don't run a bank..." ad

Also like some of the Smirnoff Ice (I think) adverts "Your mum? i thought it was your sister" etc... :D

The carlseberg bank ad isnt irish. Dreams, Flatmates and Nightclub are.

The smirnoff Ice one that you mentioned is also irish :)

Pulled by the ASAI unfortunately. For a while the only adverts on the box that seemed to be any good were the beer ones (& to be honest to an extent it's still true).

The format of the Carlsberg ads is majorly over done by now. The flatmates one was rubbish!

the best carlsberg ad I ever saw was also for Hamlet Cigars. Anyone remember it? Chap in a Desert, dying of thirst, see's a mirage of women in a pool in the distance, legs it over and dives in only to land in the sand, bangs his fist and hits a cold can of Carlsberg, and a glass, pours it and is just about to drink when the handle breaks and the beer pours into the sand. Then he just sits back and lights up a Hamlet cigar. Class. Still the best Ad I've ever seen but got pulled nearly straight away 'cause the ban on tobacco advertising came in nearly straight after it was released.

Yeh, thats the major flaw in it. Unfortunatly it would break all sorts of advertising regulations. Beer in ads cannot be shown to make you more attractive to women.

The majoe flaw in the flatmates ad:

"So you'll take the room? The rent's only 2000 euros a week!"

Those Carlsberg ads are so stoooopid! I really hate the "Housemates" one, as if all blokes are into football...I for one, am not.

Me neither ford. I'd be well pi$$ed off if I had a stadium outside my window, making constant racket.
And a cook? Fine, but I like to cook myself.
And the room was too small.
    I hate everything today.

Yeah I wouldn't be too happy if a "bird" was reading a ****ing book about Tony Cascarino while I'm trying to get to sleep..That line she says isn't even in the book.!

Yeah I can cook too and clean myself, thank you!

Actually, the newspaper he has at the start where he has the ad for the room states
    "€75 per week"

Now here's someone who notices the small details that make a difference, what awareness

its just the same sexiest ****e over and over again. still enjoy them though.

oh, and i dont think the line she reads from the book is actually being read from the book, i think that she adds it in herself to finish off the story:o

interesting what you said bout beer not allowed to make you appear attractive. i noticed that they're only with women before they get the beer. but surely holding a beer wouldnt make you more attractive, wouldnt the ladies have to be drinking it to make you appear more attractive?

I thought it was fairly obvious, kind of an essential point to the perfect flat.

Oh, better pay more attention in future...not.

OK, other major flaw: they'd hardly get plannig permission to have the balcony looking out onto the pitch.
