The Joy of BBC FTA

    Hi all,
    Never really used the FTA BBC's until tonight and had to share this with you. I only really focused on BBC Three since bbc went FTA, but did catch two really quailty programmes on BBC Four in the last few weeks, one was on Arnie becoming governor of Califonia and the other was on the history of black football in Britian. Both were excellent programs. Anyway tonight, hit 214. The fanastic Jon Daly:mad: show was on. So decided to see what was on the other regions. most had the movie on after the Daly show, except for;
    BBC 1 North West - The North West Sports Awards
    BBC 1 Yorkshire - A program on the problems on Leeds United :)
    BBC 1 Scotland - Scottish Soccer program
    BBC 1 Wales - The BBC Wales Sports personailty of the year award ;););)

    I never really flick through the regions, as there usually isnt much of a difference, but this was good quailty stuff coming from BBC's usualy high standard. I never knew there was a welsh Sports award or a North West one. But thank god for FTA BBC, as Jon Daly annoys the Sh**E out of me and BBC NI, bores the pants off me.

    Would I be right in thinking that the BBC try to fit regional programming into 'slots' so that they are all showing regional variations at the same time, and then call come back to network afterwards?

    Is there a list anywhere of these times - if for examle I knew that between 9.30 and 10.30 on BBC1 on a Monday night was a regional slot, I could then look at the other variations for a bit of choice. I frequently browse the regional versions, but rarely find variation to network. I must just be looking at the wrong times?
