audio cable from mic on your cd player to line in on your ipod and record the whole album to your ipod. Alternativelky just download the album as you own it already so you're entitled to do it.

Or bring it back to the shop, tell them why it's defective and they have to give you a refund or one that works.

Out of interest, what album is it?

I thought iTunes could "import" those type of CD's, does it try or give any sort of error ?

Spot on daveirl, I read somewhere recently that Warner music lost a court case in Germany brought by someone who complained the disc he bought would not play on his CD player !!

Bring it back and demand yer money back then buy it in MP3 format for half the price on the web through Windows Media Player (I think, Mac user!) music shop !

EDIT: Sorry correction it was EMI and the cases were in Brazil and France. The case was brought by a woman who could not get a CD by Alain Souchon to play on her home cd player !

The article is in December issue of PC Plus (209) on page 16.

The iTunes Music Shop will not be available to Europeans until the middle of 2004 unfortunately :(

Alternativelky just download the album as you own it already so you're entitled to do it.

Irish Law does NOT allow for 'fair use'.
You may NOT copy material irrespective of whether you "own" said material.

French law does however permit such copying.

You can use music match to rip these CDs. The Thrills album is the same and music match ripped that to mp3 no problem. Something like 20 tracks comes up on the thrills album but after a couple of seconds it sorts it out to the correct files.

Or you could use a program like Audio Hijack to record the music as you play it in iTunes, and then convert it to mp3. I record stuff off internet radio stations using it, it's a great little app.
