I got the key in twice at the 2.0% mark but it kept going back to 2.0% so nuthin happens if you manage it! I would have thought you'd win a free beer or curry or something!

    Good craic though!

2.5% (3 times drink driving limit) can kill you through the poisoning effect alone, nevermind accidents.

um are you sure it opens. I got it in 7 times in a few minutes and it still just reloads the same setting

Possibly, if you've never touched alcohol before in your life, and you're 6 stone weight, and you've an empty stomach.

3 times the driving limit is less than 6 pints - every person in the country has at least one night drinking that amount in December.

No, the reverse actually. In 6 years of drinking, no matter how much I drank I was only drunk twice.

If you drink one drink, your body will simply carry most of the alcohol around in your blood stream and gradually your liver burns it. As you drink further drinks, while your BAL goes up, you kidneys kick into action and remove as much alcohol as possible from your bloodstream. Your liver starts to burn the alcohol instead of blood sugars and body fat. More drinks will make you urinate at a rate similar to your alcohol intake rate, so it is very difficult to raise your BAL beyond 250-300.

This is why we had a thread last week about the vodka drinking competition that killed someone (who probably tried for a BAL in the thousands, drinking 1.5 L of vodka in less than an hour).
