New FTV card but no ITV

    Hi Guys,

I finally got a new FTV card from freeview. I said I'd insert the card first before ringing the number to activate it and hey presto I got BBc1,2, Ch4 and Ch5 no problem at all but on ITV there is a message just stating that there is no satellite signal being received. The card is now in 48 hrs so I thought it would have come through at this stage. Does this mean I have to ring the number for them to activate the card?

    Cheers

Sound to me like a problem with you receiver. Is it a pace by any chance. This used to be a common problem with the Irish channels and the ITV channels in the past on particular types of Pace receivers.

Its actually a Panasonic, it worked fine with the old card before the old card became invalid.

Have you tried tuning in ITV via the other channels section?

Itv works through the other channels option but that is indeed a pain in the neck. I tried a software upgrade but that didn't work either. Any other Ideas??

Have you tried the card in another receiver. It will proberly be the same but just to rule out your receiver.
