Hey did anyone see that Monsters Inc was transmitted in Dolby Digital 5.1 on the Disney Channel or am I just going mad? It came up as D.D and it was in 5.1, I thought it was only the movie channels that where in D.D. Maybe it’s a Sky+ thing…Not complaing at all you understand and I say MORE please!

    Yep, you're dead right.

I watched it with my 2 year old daughter - she loved it.
I was'nt aware that Disney were switching to widescreen
    and Dolby Digital either.

    I'm not complaing either !! :)

Yeah, Disney have been broadcasting the "Disney Channel" and "Disney Channel+1" for a bit now. Most of it is in Dolby Digital 2.0 (same as regular Pro-Logic) but I think the big movies are 5.1.

I noticed it actually sends the prologic flags to my receiver (unlike Sky channels)

Anyone know does the DD 5.1 work reliably on Disney without the infamous lipsync and silences that Sky Movies suffers from?

Monsters Inc worked fine for me in 5.1 with none of that sound mess that I have seen on sky movies. Now that I think of it, from the time my +box got the update i have not found that sound glitch.

I’m just happy that a few more are using DD in the broadcast.

I think the latest upgrade had a fix included for the Dolby Digital bug
    on Sky+.
