Does T lighting give scenes more dept of feild..say on DV? is it worth it?

you know:

Back light filler....side light 1 and 2 to make a T when shooting people in studio ect..

You mean a standard Key, back and fill light setup..... Sorry I though it was a camera built in thingy.


Lighting your background will give your picture more depth...... as in it will seperate the foreground from the background. To get a larger depth of field, you need to pump more light in to the over all scene then reduce your F-Stop untill you get the desired brightness. It takes messing about, trial and error. It's always better to over light and close the f-stop..... unless you want to throw focus in a scene..... thats a whole other story.

yes...I just completed the shoot and I'm quite pleased with the outcome. I used 3 200w metal halides with barn doors and reflector for the foreground. I hope to improve on it again next time.
