    Hi all.

I dont know if this would be the wrong arena to post this, if so apologies.

Trying to get to Syndey & Auckland for the honeymoon in Feb '05 and trying to find the best possible price on flights.

Anyone have any experienced on this, what stop-overs to advoid, any pre-warning about the trips downunder, etc? And maybe a few travel companies names where I can find a bargain?

    Cheers,
    James.

Ring club travel (in abbey street?) . They are better than anyone else in my experience.

Bangkok is interesting ! but maybe not on your honeymoon.

Singapore is Boring, KL is nothing special, Hong Kong is intense but supposed to be good. Fiji etc is also on the way and might be worth staying a while in.

Brisbane/Cairns and the Great barrier reef would be worth a look - great diving.

BA etc sometimes do good deals on internal flights in Oz. You can also usually get a good deal on internal flights when in the country, at short notice, if you are a genuine traveller, but these deals arent usually advertised wordwide - the backpacker travel companyies in Sydney have the details.

Try Trailfinders in Dawson Street. They do a lot of off the beaten track and antipodean stuff.

Use trailfinders, they are supurb, very good advice and continuously have access to really good deals on flights etc. I believe that Club Travel are excellent also.

KL is a dump, and so is Penang - avoid like the plague. They seem to like eating cheap food with these gigantic rats running all around you. Not for me!

More time in Sydney, less in Auckland - was not that impressed with Aukland, but there is a million and one things to do in Sydney.

Defo try and get up to the Whitsunday islands, fantastic - perfect for the honeymoon!

Internal flights are pretty cheap with Virgin Blue and Quantas, but seeing as you'll be on a tight oul itineray, just get Trailfinders to do all the work. Less hassles

Oh yeah - Fiji is fantastic

Good luck with your wedding etc

    Enjoy!!:)
