Help required folks. I need to unwire a laptop from home. I know 3com do a wireless lan modem for isdn (SKU: 120287) but does anybody know if you can get one for 56k? I also know that they do a 56k lan modem but not wireless!! All help greatly appreciated.

just had this problem my self at a friends house, basically get a router with a modem or one that takes an external modem and a seperate wireless access point, it will give you more flexability anyway.

The RG-1000 from Lucent/Agere/Orinoco/Proxim does exactly what you want (dials up an ISP on analog modem and connects PCs, Laptops etc. on wireless).

Don't know if you will find one as they are a bit old now (might try e-bay etc.)

    Information available at: http://www.kataan.org/techref/rg1000.html

I've used one and it was pretty good.
