Restrictions on bringing food into US ?

    Anyone hear anything about new restrictions on bringing foodstuffs into the US ?

    I half remember hearing something about it on the radio over the weekend but didn't get the whole thing...

    when i was going to see my brother in boston they took all the irish sauages and bacon of me saying it didn't comply to some bull **** standards.

    it was one pack of sausages and a pack of bacon.

    They'd most likely do the same thing coming into Ireland, that is if they were ever at the desk in the airport.

    Processed foods should be OK, raw foods (raw meat, vegetables), plants, exotic meats (chimpanzee, rhino, etc.) are no-nos.

    Theres a pretty lucrative black market of people bringing in sausages and rashers for sale in Irish Bars and Restaurants.
