Vice City problem

I installed Vice City on my new computer but when i am playing the graphics go all ****ed please help. I am running a P41.5ghz 256mb ram, ge-force fx5600+direct x 9.0b. The read me says something about direct x texture compression what is this and will it help, I can't find it on either cd.

grab the patch from there, afaik the graphic corruption that this patch addresses only affected the geforce fx cards, so i'd say it's definitely what you need to do to get vc running properly.
