Stupid question but i have to reformat me pc and was just wondering is it a pain in the arse to get Winows XP reactivated.

All i need do is ring microsoft or is there more to it, also is there anyway to burn all the hotfixes to a cd without downloading them all again from the windows update site

    Cheers

    Colm

You can still use the online registation.
I use that and it's about 3 or 4 simple clicks.

If you are just reinstalling, and not changing any hardware, just follow the Activation Wizard and you'll be fine.

Since the hardware is the same, and the PID is the same, the hash code generated will be the same, and you'll be allowed to reactivate.

    HTH.
