    Maybe this is the best place for my question, as it crops up in GAA circles from time to time...

    You know the way that the counties are all called after summat... like..

    Wicklow = The Garden of Ireland / Garden County
    Meath = Royal County
    Armagh = Orchard County

    etc.

    Where can I get a complete list of all these? Does anyone have them?

    Cheers,

    DMC.

    dunno wat craic is with waterford but the mighty roscommon are known as the sheep stealers!!(no jokes about wat else we might be doing with sheep please!)

    my concern is for the sheep. once they are stolen..what ransom will be demanded..and whill farmer murphy pay it ? and what if he doesnt..then you have to worry about the sheep falling in love with their captors...its a mess...Im just gald not many people live in roscommon...well not many that matter...

    the decies were an ancient tribe that settled in waterford before christianity. their kingdom was all of county waterford and parts of south tipp and they were finally defeated by the norman infidels around 1170.
