Ther is a debug command run from Dos which will return display adapter details
Type debug at a DOS prompt. A dash will appear. Type DC000:0010
Now look at the right hand side of the screen. What do you see ? Specifics of your display adapter, thats what. Type q to quit.

Tip of the day that, no question.
