Ordered IOL BB yesterday online, meanwhile exploring failure options...

IOL Anytime gives 180 hours, but what happens if you exceed this?
    ( cutoff/charge per minute/etc no info on http://anytime.iol.ie/ )

Does it have an online timer to tell you how much time you've used up?

    Thanks.

Was I to incur such a charge variablility would be introduced into the bimonthly direct debit making it perhaps 40 + 45 = 85, not the predictable 30 + 30 = 60, which they rely upon as justification for the non issuance of prior invoice.

A variable debit, with no forewarning, wow...

Anyway, how much per min is the charge?

the same charge as a local call

That's grand, I was under the impression that overuse would attract broadband solicitations and cutoff warnings.

Are you sure you are thinking of IOL Anytime, and not IOL NetSmart though?

Caveat, that timer, with its nice pie chart png, lags actual usage by about 12h, or until disconnect, AFAIK.

and that appears on the anytime (or netsmart) "bill" along with the usual fee, ie not on the CPS provider bill (eircom)

I think it does, it certainly did with me a few months back when I went about 30 euro over on my Netsmart bill ... that was a bit off a shock when I checked my bank balance :p

Unlike with broadband, Esat love it when you go over your allowed amount with Anytime because they make a lot more money off it

IOL Anytime has a 12 month contract, if a customer upgrades to IOL BB the Anytime 12 month contract is terminated and a new BB 12 month contract begins, I suppose.

Anyway, is there a penalty to be payed for terminating the Anytime contact.
