Some people were looking for phone extenders for their digiboxes -

These are available in the 3G (eircom) store in Blanchardstown Centre - they are the "one for all" model for €109.

Thats very good value. Mine ended up costing €98 from Maplin online. In the Maplin store in town they are €160 or something rediculous like that.

    Phone extenders?

But sure Maplin are doing an offer on vidoe senders until XMAS??? Its in the current brochure. About €70. How did it cost you that much? Bring them back and tell em you want the ones on offer

I asked in Maplin about the phone extender. First of all yer man hadn't a clue what I was on about so consulted the Maplin Catalogue and realised that they do sell them. They were €159.99 though. Went next door to the €ircon store and got one for €109 (for once €ircon saved me money).

It seems to be a bit hit and miss about whether or not they work with some digibox's.

I bought one (OneForAll - Eircom) and it wouldnt work on my previous Sky digital box. It just said line busy. But it worked fine for my new sky+ box. In both cases the extender had been tested with a handset and a laptop modem, (and the modem in the digibox worked fine with a regular cable).

I've read other posts about people having problems. But generally I suggest buying in eircom and taking advantage of their 14 day no quibble returns policy.

    Michael.
