Do you have a digibox and dish already? If yes is the answer the cable many people use is CT100.
If no is the answer go for a subsidised installation where all is supplied and fitted.
To be on the safe side new cable is best!!!
Feel free to ask more questions!!! :):):)

SATDUDE it dep[ends on how much u know about sats. Have u got the dish erected/fitted, have u got the digibozx and did u conect it to tv with a scart cable, do u know anyone locally with a sky set up?

To set up sky if u are any way handy is not difficult. All the gadgets make it quicker and easier but these are for professionals who make a living.

Also there are loads of lnks that tell u what to do in simple terms. Do u just want to get BBC?

All these q's need answering to get an idea of where u are at in relation to how much u know.

I had a look at that RGU6 cable and theoreotically it may work but if the dish is up on the roof it is a long way to go to test the cable and then find it don't work.

Here is an image of the cable that will work

Have a look and post back.

As the man says u can get sky for €15.00 I know u have to subcribe but ui can drop down to the lowest package after a month and all the work is done for u.

Anyway good luck if u want to do it ur way.

B&Q do some nice sat cable - €50 for a reel - but it is copper foil lined

RG6U would not be good enough that the frequencies used and old cable is not a good idea.

Also get your self some self amlagamating tape - you need the lnb connection to be water proof, PVC tape is not waterproof over time and some silicone sealents can attack plastics in the lnb *allegedly.
