Well iTunes is worth a download:, get it from apple . Had it installed it and used it a bit. also RealOne is good, nice libary on it I have to say. I have reverted back to Winamp 2.91 though. Winamp3 is good but you cant beat the old classic. :)

    winamp 3 is ****

    get winamp 5rc beta

best of both versions hence the 2+3=5

I use itunes cos it's fast at ripping cd's and it's good.
but it does uses a lot of system resoursces so i stick with winamp

You could have mentioned where to get Winamp 5....from what I remember it's not on the official website but you can get it at Winamp Heaven, it is much better then 3 and offers full support for the new skins that 3 has:D.

I'd use winamp5 fine except for one problem which I just CANNOT cope with, the playlist sorting ignores 'The' in the title of bands and goes to the second word, ie. The Beatles is under B when sorted, sooooo annoying. I refuse to use winamp5 over that.

By PC do you just mean Windows?

Because both Soundplay and CL-AMP womph WinAmp in terms of speed and usability. But they're for BeOS

Soundplay w/BIYS is the best way to possibly have a music server. Full web interface control that uses BFS's indexes and journal for databases

In work so can't downoad Winamp 5...

Question, Does it have the search your playlist with "J" feature?

    That's why i shunned Winamp 3!!

Hate the new default Winamp5 skin. the classic skin is much better, and even the Winamp3 default skin was better IMO.
