At least you dont have much milk in them. If you did it could have been a disaster.....

Wonder if anyone has used their sig for advertising? WintersCorp series I suppose can be reguarded as some sort of advertising.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 14,983 ✭✭✭✭tuxy

is winters corp in direct competition with lex corp?
    which was started first?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,761 ✭✭✭✭Winters

WintersCorp is totally differant to LexCorp and in no way in competition. I believe Lexcorp was founded before WintersCorp but WintersCorp was founded out of another company which had been running since about 1998.

    History later. Bed now :)

With just the wordiness, the one that most caught my eye recently was DeadBankClerk quoting Utility.

Utility: haha how am I a tool?

Awful funny, clever with the noticeage also.

Excession is fantastic but you'd probably appreciate it more if you've read a bit more Culture stuff. Read Use of Weapons or The Player of Games and I defy you not to get addicted to all things Iain "M." Banks.

i wasn't that impressed with consider phlebas either but i pushed on and read the player of games which i thought was very good. I've read all his scifi stuff now (ok i'll be honest and say i have about 10-15 pages of inversion left) and i think he is good enough. i though player of games his best but i'm not a massive fan of his style in general. too much description not enough dialog imo. i only really like the description when it applies to events or items not the blue blue sky etc. but thats just me.

However i did enjoy reading his stuff and i'd say definetly read player of games it will give you some fate
