Anyone any idea where I might pick up a modem board for a Grundig GDs310/2 digibox...Had some lightning trouble over the summer ...found a couple of places in the UK and NI that could supply but I'm old fashioned and like to buy at home (the Sterlings a killer as well :D )

    Maybe Armstrong Electronics Dublin???

Maybe you could get one from a FTV user who doesn't need that part. [EDIT - it won't boot up without the modem - maybe use it as an FTV box ?]

Note: Lightening can stress electronics so if the modem is dead then there is a chance the rest of the digibox's life may have been shortened..

Don't think Armstrong supplied Grundig boxes but I think Electroplus in Dublin did. You could try them or Donberg Electronics (074 9548275), they might have sources

kesh electrics in fermanagh might fix it for you. a grundig digibox will not boot up without the modem so someone viewing fta cannot give you theirs

Yeah, Kesh Electrics are definitely worth trying. Here's their link:

I know this is off the topic, but with reference to sterling being a killer in general I find purchasing in sterling land works out a lot cheaper than rip off ireland.
