I'm thinking of buying a laptop from these guys, has anyone here ever bought from them before? I don't like spending money buying from a company I'm not familiar with...

Well, I bought 2 laptops from them in the last 2 weeks before Xmas and I have to say, they are one of the best companies I've dealt with. Gave the guy a budget, asked him to email me suitable laptops that are in stock and he emails you in a few hours time. Very good customer service. And no, I don't work or know anyone that works for them. The website isn't great but the prices are comparable with the bigger companies.

    I wouldn't judge a company's "customer service" by pre-sales interaction.. (In general)

I ordered from microaid.ie YEEEARS back for books.. no hassle..

I bought a laptop from microaid.ie which I took home and installed my own OS on, put all the drivers etc on it that were provided with it but there was a stuttering from the sound. Has to return it to acer, got it back saying it was fine, the stutter was still there, had to send it back again, came back fixed and I was told it was because the correct drivers weren't installed when I installed the OS. I took a chance and reinstalled my OS, stutter was back, but I downloaded a driver from the website and it was fixed. This was ongoing for quite a while but microaid did all they could and were very good to work with and would reply to emaild very quickly. Excellent before and after service and a very competitively priced laptop too.
