I've just recieved my letter of acceptance for this so, anyone else entered for this competition in DCU? More importantly, has anyone gone into this before?
I expect it's gonna be a Physics paper, with beefed up questions, as theres not really much point in asking about stuff not on the course...anyone know if this is the case?

    Thanks for any answers...

em. it tends to be a little more advanced that normal text book stuff, teachers in our school were handing out 3rd level text books to take a look at.

That said, I know people who've made it to the finals in the olympiads with no extra study of anything, it depends on the person.

I think it is important to have a good level of knowledge of the core stuff, LC textbook but to be able to see the applications and stuff.

    g'luck

Whaa..?! It's an olympiad, not a Leaving Cert paper. An olympiad.

the key is not to focus on one aspect of physics but to focus on all the aspects and see which can be linked to the question
